A little bit about me
As a Data Science Manager at Klarna, I lead the development of advanced ML and AI solutions for fraud prevention and risk management in Klarna’s core products across key EU and UK markets. I am responsible for driving innovation and enabling data-driven decision-making across multiple teams to effectively mitigate risks.
My background stems from academia at TU Berlin, where I conducted research focused on detecting fraudulent schemes as a part of international project eBiz within the Ethereum blockchain, utilizing node2vec and graph embeddings.
Later, I gained hands-on experience in machine learning engineering by collaborating with various startups, payment providers, and banks. Over the years, I have refined my professional and leadership skills and now enjoy working as a seasoned expert, driving business goals.
Throughout my career, I have built and deployed numerous machine learning models for fraud and anomaly detection, successfully preventing fraudulent activities valued in the millions of euros. Under my leadership, talented data scientists have advanced in their careers, delivering high-impact projects that leverage cutting-edge methodologies.
As a mentor and educator in the data field, I have been committed to supporting the development of aspiring data professionals, having spoken at conferences, participated in webinars, and delivered online talks.
